real ghost stories based on real research from true believers™

The great thing about the paranormal is that the field is wide open. Nothing has been significantly proven and nothing (except that we are working on theory) can be stated in absolutes. Still, some folks are out there stating, doing or asking for things that might be considered a little shady. This discussion is the place to talk about it.

I am undecided about orbs. When did they first start showing up in photos, digital and film? Why...as in scientifically? Why are there no orbs in early antique photos?

I still am unsure about cemeteries. Why the heck are they haunted? I guess I do not want stuck in a cemetery, and want to cross over right away. I have spent countless hours picnic-ing in cemeteries for relax time and to just check them out during the day, and some time at night, and still don't seem to get why they are haunted. Maybe it is just my perceptions getting in the way. I do get concerned about stories of "evil" or malicious entities in cemeteries. Many personalities are buried there, so I guess many types of entities could haunt a cemetery...any thoughts?
I will tell you about my son and his friend who were at a certain cemetery at night, attempting to conjure up some images. As my son and his friend were returning to their car, a spirit or something without flesh and blood ran from the cemetery and tackled my son's friend. Instead of knocking him down, it went into him. Within thirty minutes, that boy was on the ground growling like a wild animal, and eating grass. My son called me to help them, and when I arrived, the boy was in a helpless state begging for help. No one there new what to do. I cast that thing out of the boy, and he will tell you of the event today. He lives in Effingham, Illinois. There are plenty of witness who will tell you the same thing. I'll be glad to answer any questions.
