36 years old & have been interested, and thoroughly entranced with the subject of ghosts and paranormal since I was 6. Seen most of the "evidence" of old be debunked, but what really impresses me is that which is left unexplained. That is the good stuff.
Hi FO, thanks for joining. Hope we can meet sometime and chat or maybe email a bit first...we are slightly crazy busy as we haven't quit our day jobs .....yet...or ever...lol...
I guess that I can say that I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a kid. Personal experiences and an obsession with Stephen King novels have enhanced that interest....so here I am. I heard about this group through a newspaper artilcle in the Indy Star a few years ago around Halloween. I checked out the web site, signed up for newsletters, and bought Nicole and Michael's book (now I have others to buy). I have yet to go on a ghost walk because of my crazy schedule. I hope to make time to go on one this summer, though.
Funny....Stephen King was the first author that got me reading at 12, too. Obviously my 12 came befor yours since I started with Carrie....it had just come out in paperback. I loved the Gunslinger series and also waited somewhat impatiently for each new one to come out. I agree....they do weave together with his other works. There are subtle and not so subtle hints about each one. It reminded me of how in The Talisman and in Blackhouse characters passed between worlds and encountered familiar characters from other stories of his....like the Low Men, etc.
Yes. I have exchanged e-mails and messages with Michael and Nicole. They are both great. He says that he's the skeptic, but I think he's coming around.
I don't think that there is a chat or forum...unless it's through the 'groups' section. I know we can create our own groups for discussions. I haven't played around with this much. I'm still pretty new to it, too.
Have you read any of Stephen King's son's books? If not, you need to check him out. He wrote "Heart Shaped Box" under the name Joe Hill. It's awesome. I think that he will prove to be even more warped than his dad. He has another book under the name of Joe Hill, "Twentieth Century Ghosts", which is full of short stories. He also wrote one under his real name, Owen King.
No, I haven't read any of his son's stuff. Glad to know that he is going down the road of his dad. Hopefully, he won't run into many roadblocks because, "You're Stephen King's boy, People expect....." Knowing how his Dad branched out though, I am sure he will help guide Owen around those land mines. I did try to read some of his wife's stuff a long time ago, and couldn't get into it. You know, just different authors / different styles thing. I'll have to check out "Joe Hill" (sounds familiar, wonder why he chose that name ?) and Owen.
To switch gears on you a little, you said you haven't been on a ghost walk before. Have you ever talked to anyone that has ? Obviously other than Michael and Nichole. Just curious as to what to expect or look for on one. Don't want to spend money if all it amounts to is a bunch of people walking around in the dark looking at the outside of houses that "may" be haunted. I would like to go to a known active spot and see what happens. The stranger the better in my book.
I looked at the picture again and have no idea what that is in the lower left hand side of the picture. It doesn't change when I zoom in our out. I looked at the original (the one without the comments) and I can't figure it out. I don't know if it's a reflection or not. I see the reflection of my flash. When I look at the picture when it's not zoomed in, I see another girl behind her.

The area where the picture was taken is the same area people have witness an Indian running through the park.
I didn't know about the Indian sighting until Nicole told me after we saw the picture.
My wife and I did visited some haunted castles in Ireland. Didn't see or hear any paranormal activities during our visit.
