real ghost stories based on real research from true believers™
Our house has had its usual amount of activity over the winter. A few months ago we did have some new activity. The lights would turn on and off in the master bathroom. We assumed that there was a problem with the switch except that it never happened unless one of us was in the bathroom. Still, there's only so many things you can blame on the spirits. (My hubby pretty much blames them for anything he forgets to do). So it was weird but not a big deal. Then it started happening in the small bathroom on the other side of the house. No other rooms but the bathrooms and only when someone is in there. A few weeks ago, i was in the small bathroom and the lights went out. I was tired and mad so I yelled, "I'm sick and tired of you messing with the lights. Turn them back on NOW and leave them on!". They came back on and I didn't have any more problems that night. So it's weird but this morning was totally different.
I went to the living room to get our foster dog out of her Xpen(think metal doggy playpen) to go outside. She had a piece of a chewie left and I picked it up and put it on the grooming table so the other dogs wouldn't get it. I know, I should have put the grooming table away after using it but it was still sitting in the kitchen. I put the chewie on it, let all the dogs out and fed everybody. When it was time to go back to bed, Hershey went back in her Xpen before I could even tell her to. Unusual for her but I was happy for some cooperation. The rest of the dogs were heading back to the bedroom when I heard one of them snarking. I ran to the bedroom, talked to my hubby about the dogs then went back to the living room to finish picking up bowls and such. When I got back, Hershey was chewing on something so I looked to see what she had. It was her partial chewie. I just figured she must have hidden one in her blankets or something. I went to get the one from the grooming table but it was gone. I looked all over the kitchen-no chewie. I know 100% that I put it on the grooming table and did NOT take it off there. Our dogs are all Dachshunds so no one is tall enough to counter surf. Hershey has weak hind legs so she couldn't jump up or do anything to reach it. She was also locked behind the Xpen when I left the room. No one else was in the house but my hubby and he was in the bedroom. I didn't carry any of the dogs so they couldn't have snatched it from the table. If one of the others had gotten it, they would have kept it-not given it to Hershey.
Once I realized that the chewie had gone about 8-10 feet from the grooming table to the pen, I was freaked out! I had chills and all the hair on my arms was standing up until I left home. We still feel like at least one of our dead next door neighbors is around because we've seen him out walkingI(residual). His wife loved our dogs so I thought maybe it was her. But then I remembered that we brought some of dad's stuff back from his house on Saturday. He loved all our dogs and enjoyed helping with them. Maybe he thought he was helping me by giving her the chewie. I have no idea other than to say that no person or animal that's alive moved that chewie. I'll be interesting to see if anything else happens tonight.
that was my guess as well. We've got something or someone in our computer room too that I forgot to mention. One night I looked to the side of the monitor as something had moved(it's just a wall). there was a small face there and the sadness was overwhelming. Just a few night ago, I got the hairs all standing up again while I was in the computer room. after awhile, I called my hubby to come in and look to see what was touching my neck. there was of course, nothing visible but he said my neck and the air around it was freezing cold. i think it was the same being because the overwhelming sadness was there again.
